Singapore- Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands

On our first full day we headed off to Universal Studios on the island of Sentosa after bothering many locals with directions on how to get there! (We are so lucky they can all speak English out here).

Having never been to a Universal Studios I was very excited! This is definitely I place I would recommend you going as it is easy to get to once you have worked out the buses and has many different activity for all ages! You can also buy a express ticket which I would recommend as it is not that much more than your actual ticket and will get you on everything straight away!

We went on every ride they had to offer, well I did Yaz felt to 'travel sick' for two of them (she was scared)! Jurassic park had to be our favourite as you got wet which was needed in this 'sweaty' heat!

We then headed back to the hostel showered and changed into our 'best dresses' that could be taken in a rucksack obviously! And headed to the Marina where we had a civilized drink and Mac'n'cheese right outside the Marina looking over to Marina Bay Sands. This to be done, we are on a budget and we managed!

We then walked around the marina into the nicest shopping center I've ever been in, I couldn't afford to shop there yet. And headed to the Sky bar in the Marina Bay Sands hotel, this is something you have to do if you visit Singapore, it's free to enter and you can then buy cocktails and look at the view. We then watched the sunset with a cocktail in hand looking over the view and watching the lightening in the distance, I definitely recommend it!

On the way home we then came across people sunbathing, well they would have been if it was light! We decided to join them and experience the sunloungers  at night looking at the lights from builindings over the Marina, that is also not something you experience everyday!
